Michelle Obama has never been proud of America…until this year. Now, Obama is embarassed of America because we aren’t bilingual. Hellllllo. Why do these people want to be President and First Lady of our country? They don’t even like it here. This is America, we speak English here. Now, if I were going to go to Mexico or France maybe I would learn Spanish or French. But for the time being I speak Arabic and German, and I don’t want to learn another language. Why do I need to learn Spanish? If the Mexicans are here, let them learn English. Why should my children have to learn Spanish to speak to Mexicans living in America. Again, he has it all backwards. Listen to him in his own words.
What is spanish for “Change we can believe in”? I think it is pathetic that we have become so PC that we refuse to help people coming to our country by making them understand that they will go much farther in life if they learn to speak the language.
When my grandfather came over from poland (legally through ellis island), he didn’t speak any English. When he went to school, they didn’t teach in Polish, or Polish and English, but just English. He was able to learn to speak, read, and write the language and went on to have a pretty good life.
This “we should learn to speak the language of people coming here” is just silly. Heck, if anything, we should start learning Manderin.
I wish I knew…Perhaps, those morons in Congress, who get paid to do the research would know. WAIT…No they wouldn’t…Their approval rating is in the single digits!
Yeah. I think President Bush’s rating is even higher than theirs. Poor babies. Hey, what do you think of lamar and his reparation comments? Now he is a real character.
I think when polling date comes back, showing that Obama’s statements offended far more English speaking Americans than the Spanish speaking ones that he gained, you’ll see him try to squirm his way out of this statement, too!
Although it’ll be a tough spin, I’m sure the liberal media will praise him for his reversal!
I know what you mean, smrtas1. When my mother’s parents came from Syria, in the early 1900′s, they came legally through Ellis Island. So did my father’s grandparents when they came here from Ireland. They all learned English. They couldn’t have survived without doing so, but most importantly, they wanted to. They wanted to because they were proud to be Americans. They didn’t call themselves Syrian-Americans or Irish-Americans. They called themselves Americans. That’s whats wrong with this country right now. People, like African-Americans want to connect to roots that were their great-grandparents, not theirs. They forget, they are Americans, born and raised. It is so frustrating to listen to them speak. Now I have this Lamar guy splogging all over my blogs about reparation. When will it end?
I’m so glad you found my new site. I put my other two in sleep mode for awhile. I had this one splogger ranting about reparation 24/7, so I decided to open a new blog for awhile. He found me here. You should read his rantings. His name is lamar. I think he is going to become famous for being the most annoying splogger on my site.
Join me in the purge to declare an official U.S. language before multiculturalism further damns our country!!!!
Toni,
